This is Christopher "Chris" for short. We met sometime the first of September 1999 at the at the Chelsea Jubilee, which is a local get together out in the country. We talked off and on for weeks, then we decided to try dating out. Chris was the first guy I had ever been on a date with. We had a pretty normal teenage relationship. We loved each other like no other. We were inseparable. We did everything together.
Our Senior year, Chris decided that he was ready to go ahead and get his GED and start college. So that was a little hard not being able to see him as often as I was used to at school. But we always found time for each other. We both even took jobs at a local pizza place, and we had our own little pizza making crew.
We had talked of marriage, but both agreed that we needed to get our lives in order first before we even thought of settling down.
Our lives were wonderful, but I graduated and Chris went off to college in a different town and I stayed behind, the distance was just too much. We tried the long distance relationship for awhile, but it just didn't work. We would try to see each other when he came into town, as much as possible. We just had this bond that would not let us stay apart too long, we would always manage to get hold of each other somehow. I started attending college in our hometown and working a part-time job also.
So I did not have a lot of free time. So we grew apart. For a solid month we did not speak, so I moved on with my life, as I assumed he did too. I got a call from him the 3rd weekend of April 2002. He was calling to see how I was doing. We talked for about a half hour or so, then we said our goodbyes. Little did I know that that call would be the last time that I would ever get to speak to him, ever.
